Let’s talk about fighting for your rights as a creator in LA
You gotta fight…for your rights…to work in La! Haha. Don’t mind the paraphrasing but there is something big happening at City Hall today and I wanted to share how you can help to help production STAY IN LA.
For those of you who don’t know - Stay in LA is is a grassroots campaign and coalition of entertainment industry professionals, including filmmakers, actors, and small business owners, working to prevent film, television, and commercial productions from leaving Los Angeles. Founded in early 2025 in response to industry slumps, strikes, and wildfires, the movement aims to boost local employment and maintain the city’s status as a top production hub.
And today is a big day for STAY IN LA. City Hall has a meeting at 2pm today to vote on 9 motions that will allow productions to stay in LA. Like literally.
If you have time to make one phone call or send one email- do it! Fight for your rights as a creator. Scripts from Stay In La are below.
Stay strong Artistes! 2026 is a wild one but we got this and The SAS is always here for you!
